The U10, 11, 12, 14, 15 and 17 squads were all in action in what was a busy week for the local Ballymena club. All teams came away from the tournament gaining great experiences with two team from the club playing against Sheffield Utd and Glasgow Celtic teams.

Two of the teams returned home with Silverware, with Davy Parker’s 2001 Under 15 Squad winning the U15 Foyle vase after a 3-0 win against Ballycastle Utd and Jason Hunter’s 2002- Under 14s also winning the Foyle Vase competition at their age group.

Sunderland Coaching Week

Carniny Amateur and Youth FC continue their partnership with Sunderland AFC when the club’s Foundation of Light coaches will travel to Ballymena in August to deliver a four day coaching programme in association with the local club. Teams from Carniny have also been given the opportunity to visit the Premiership team and are welcome to attend again this incoming season.
The four day programme commences on Monday 8th August through to Thursday 11th August and each age group will receive two hour sessions each day of the four day period. The sessions will be held at Ballymena Showgrounds.

The club has opened the programme up TO ALL LOCAL YOUTH players, giving them the opportunity to be coached by the Foundation of Light staff. Ages catered for are DOB’s from 2011 right through to 2000 inclusive. There will also be a Girls session incorporated in the programme. A great opportunity for any aspiring young footballer.

Please note this is not a ‘walk on’ opportunity and places will need to be booked prior to event.

Morning Sessions will be 2011, 2010, 2009 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005 and Girls mixed ages. Afternoon Sessions will be 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001.
