An early morning kick off saw Carniny start the game with a good tempo with forward players pressing Antrim high up the pitch creating early chances for only for the goalkeeper to save. Antrim created a chances on the break with back to back corners which Carniny defence dealt with well.

Second half and Carniny pressed for an opener with the Antrim goal keeper standing firm. Carniny moved the ball through midfield and won a free kick outside the box. The shot on goal forcing a great save by the Antrim goalkeeper. Antrim kept pushing forward and tested the Carniny goalkeeper making a great save only to get hurt in the process and have to be replaced by and outfield player. Both teams continued to move the ball and play some great football without scoring. A game for the defences with a clean sheet.
