U11 Ballyclare Comrades 3 - 3 Carniny Youth

In our last game before the festive break, we faced off against a tough Ballyclare team for the 2nd time this season. Our first match was a cracker, and this one didn’t disappoint!!

Our Carniny boys started the game well, closing down any threat of attack & pushing forward at every opportunity. After some continued pressure in the box, Connor got away a shot, which the GK saved, but he followed it up well to tuck away the rebound. Harlow & Billy battled in midfield & Gary, Nathaniel & Isaac stood strong at the back, but Ballyclare came back at the lads hard & by HT it was 2-1 & plenty of work needed to be done!!

Carniny came out full of energy in the 2nd half, after a switch of play from the left to Alex, who found Marley down the right-hand side who smashed away the equaliser. Jake was solid in nets for us, keeping us on the front foot throughout. Our wee Reds pushed on, and after a strange indirect FK was awarded, Isaac smartly backheeled it to Gary, who fired a high, dipping shot over the GK’s head to put us in front. Ballyclare never gave up, and in the last minute, put away a looping shot from the right to make it honours even.
