The seniors kept the scoreline goalless to the half time whistle in this game with Niall Shannon on top form in the first half to produce three good saves to deny Saints. The whole team were well organised throughout the half, working hard to keep their visitors at bay.
Five mins into the half Carniny were undone when a ball that looked as if it was heading into the hands of Shannon dropped dead into a rut on the pitch and a Saints forward nipped in to tap home. This deflated the Carniny men and Saints went on to score 2 more without reply with the final score 3-0 to the current league leaders.
