After a shaky first 15 mins the Ballymena lads began to settle into the game easing into their normal neat passing game. They were well disciplined, keeping their shape well and contained Dunloy in the first half to go in all square at the break.
The second half saw Dunloy take the game to Carniny and had several chances but failed to convert. The Amateurs were working well down the flanks and after some neat work down the left flank from Ryan Wilkinson they got the only goal of the game with Graham Adams controlling Wilkinson’s cross to score on the 75th min. A welcome victory for the young Ballymena men which will hopefully give them confidence to start climbing up the league.
